My Friend Patrick on Gchat

Patrick: one of the major deterrents for broadcasters is that online advertising is not very lucrative right now
and you have to remember its freakin expensive to produce tv
advertisers are hesitant about switching over
8:51 PM so the revenue stream from online advertising is nowhere as high as it is for television broadcast where you have the potential to reach mass amounts of people
but if you can convince them that you're reach isnt as high
but these ads are not only more effective, but targeted as well
it can increase your return on investment significantly
making it much more attractive
then advertisers would shift
8:52 PM once they shift the demand exists
and the costs can reasonably go up
which in turn can bring in more money for broadcasters honestly
especially as viewership continues to migrate
8:54 PM me: you're boring

Consumer Reports Surveys Best Burgers

Consumer Reports recently surveyed 28,000 of its readers to find out which burger chain is the best. I'm assuming Shake Shack (or Joe's) is too small to be considered. Five Guys is good, but as good as In-N-Out?

Keep in mind that about 75% of Consumer Reports readers are 35+ years old, and 38% are 50+

Old people don't know their burgers! I'd give Five Guys a 7 and In-N-Out a 9. In-N-Out is also about 3/4 the price of everything else on this list.

Teen Eastern Chinese Bible Conference 2010 Un(certain)ty Day 1 Video

tecbc 2010 day 1 from Dan Lee on Vimeo.

Here's a video Norman and I made in the wee hours of Friday night / Saturday morning at TECBC this past Memorial Day weekend. Apparently youtube won't allow it since I don't have permission from DC Talk for using their song. I'm going to look into getting it, since it'll be pretty cool to actually communicate with them!

To the kiddies: Please be patient with Day 2's video and the final video. Its been a crazy 9 days and I think they'll turn out better with an unfried brain and a few more hours of sleep ;) Thanks for the e-cards and high fives, you guys are all awesome little bro's and sis's.

Origins of a Blog

This video encompasses all that has inspired me to name this blog. I dare you to watch this video and completely resist the charm of Henry Ian Cusick, aka Desmond from Lost.

Lost ended yesterday

For awhile I've been thinking of writing my own blog. I don't think I'll be starting right this second, but in light of Lost ending with its series finale yesterday...I thought of this title and wanted to reserve it. I realized that when I am judging another blog, one of the implications I consider about it, besides its content obviously, is the title. It really does set the tone of the whole gosh darn blog. Well I've thought of my title, and I'm pretty happy with it. Desmond is probably my favorite character on Lost, and even though I am completely heterosexual...I go weak in the knees every time he says with his charming Scottish accent, "I'll see you in another life, brotha".

And with that said, I'll see you in another life, blogger.
